 Stump grinding in the middle of a pool!

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS 4TH OF JULY PARADE! WE HAD A GREAT TIME IN THE OUR COUNTRY DAY PARADE. THIS TRULY IS A FAMILY BUSINESS. OUR SON, MATTHEW, WAS DRIVING JR., AND GRANT WAS DRIVING THE BIG TRUCK!

In this series of pics, Grant is having to grind the stump and roots around some water pipes, and irrigation system. He left the hole open so the plumber would not have to dig it back up. Surprisingly, this surprised the homeowner.

Grant has done work like this a few times before. Once, he even had to take the grinder through a house to get it out on the deck to grind three different stumps. Yes it fit through the hallway. Needless to say, if a customer wants a stump ground, Grant will figure out a way. He has also ground areas close to concrete, without a scratch to the concrete.

THIS TIME GRANT HAD TO LOAD THE GRINDER ONTO A FLOATING DOCK, USING THE BOAT THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN FROM TO CAREFULLY PUSH THE DOCK FROM THE MAINLAND TO THE ISLAND. HE HAD TO GO OUT TO AN ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF A LAKE. THE NAME OF THE LAKE? WHY, ISLAND LAKE, OF COURSE!

 GRANT WITH OUR TRUCKS!

"GRANT WAS ASKED TO GRIND HALF OF A LIVE OAK STUMP. TECHNICALLY THE TREE BELONGED TO THE CUSTOMER'S NEIGHBOR, BUT HE WAS NOT WILLING TO SPLIT THE COST. OUR CUSTOMER IS PUTTING UP A PRIVACY FENCE, AND ONLY NEEDED HALF OUT OF THE WAY. HE SAID ONCE THE FENCE IS IN, HE WON'T EVEN HAVE TO SEE THE STUMP. GRANT HAS BEEN ASKED TO WORK ON SOME USUAL THINGS THAT PEOPLE WANT HIM TO GRIND, AND SOME USUAL JOB SITES. BUT, THIS ONE WAS DEFINITELY A FIRST!"
